One page, held up to the light

p.185ch.6 ↗

page 185 of why's (poignant) Guide to Ruby. Printed code shows array math operators, then "# divide with an operator method ... irb> 10 / 3 => 3" and "# ... or a readable method? irb> 10.div 3 => 3", ending with "And that's how the Rabbit's sword divides."

Next to the last code block, handwritten in red pen, underlined: "Keep Ruby Weird! @benjaminwood".

Page 185 is very sensible. Operators are just methods. 10 / 3 is 3. 10.div 3 is also 3. Nobody shouts.

Then @benjaminwood came by with a red pen:

Keep Ruby Weird! @benjaminwood

@benjaminwood

His profile says "Extinguished Engineer". So all day he puts out fires, and then he lights a small weird one in the margin.

10 / 3 is 3. The leftover 1 ran off with the foxes. It is weird now. It is very happy.
