One page, held up to the light

p.162ch.6 ↗

page 162 of why's (poignant) Guide to Ruby, chapter "Downtown". A code block defines yield_thrice: def yield_thrice, then yield three times, then end. Below it the text explains that the block gets to live its life three times, and shows an irb example with a.shift.

Inside the code block, right of the code, a handwritten note in red pen, all caps: "Rafael França approved this core extension. Waiting the PR to Rails".

Punch the yield button three times quick and the block gets to live its life three times.

Inside the code, @rafaelfranca wrote in red caps:

Rafael França approved this core extension. Waiting for the PR to Rails

@rafaelfranca

When the person with more commits in Rails than anybody else says he approves, you should not waste time.

The foxes asked if they could have yield_fourice. The answer was no. Foxes have four legs, not four blocks.
