One page, held up to the light

p.159ch.6 ↗

page 159 of why's (poignant) Guide to Ruby. Two code blocks use open-uri. The first searches the Preeventualist's lost and found for "truck". The second opens "folder/idea-about-hiding-lettuce-in-the-church-chairs.txt" and puts idea.read.

Inside the second code block, right of the code, a handwritten note in blue pen: "May your dreams not come true. May you find better dreams and then those come true. Maedi".

Page 159 opens a file of diabolical ideas. About hiding lettuce in the church chairs.

Right next to puts idea.read, @maedi wrote in blue:

May your dreams not come true. May you find better dreams and then those come true Maedi

@maedi

The creator of LowType and Raindeer, refactoring our dreams:

dreams.reject(&:small?).map(&:better).each(&:come_true!)

The foxes read this and quietly closed the lettuce file. They dream bigger now. Possibly cabbage.
